Medi-Inject and microneedling are performed with the addition of growth factors like Exosome Therapy, ProCell serums and Platelet-Rich Plasma. These give a significant impact with their anti-inflammatory properties that enhance skin appearance and hasten the healing process.
Moreover, the utilization of the growth factors in the treatment promotes powerful regenerating and cellular renewal properties to help improve the texture, firmness, elasticity, and tone of the skin.
In the initial consultation, Lisa Rux will evaluate your skin, discuss your concerns, set the goals, and determine which among the Medi-Inject and microneedling with Exosome therapy, ProCell serums or PRP procedure is right for you.
Your Medical Aesthetician performing your Medi-Inject and Microneedling procedure will discuss the best plan for your skin issues.
One or both of the following will be applied to the skin during the treatment:
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Basically, platelets are a blood component primarily involved in healing and repair. They usually form part of a matrix that limits further aggravation of an injury and enhances the healing process.
The function of platelets, however, is not limited to simply being part of a composite of materials that stop complications of an injury. Instead, platelets also release growth factors that call upon the different processes in the body to activate and eventually lead to healing. This is what platelet-rich plasma aims to promote and speed up.
Platelet-rich plasma is a preparation that contains a concentration of platelets. It is made by obtaining blood from the patient, which is then processed to extract the platelets. The process is simple as placing blood in a centrifuge and allowing the components to separate into several levels – leading to the removal of the platelets.
Overall, the use of the platelet-rich plasma process simply helps the body get its healers to where they are supposed to be. The introduction of the plasma preparation to the affected area is an excellent way to achieve healthier and younger-looking skin.
Exosome Therapy
Exosomes are nano-sized vesicles (30-200 nm) constantly released by almost all cells. They are responsible for cell to cell communication and for facilitating the exchange of RNA and other important proteins between cells (e.g. fibroblasts, keratinocytes, immune cells, etc.), in addition to transferring numerous growth factors and cytokines and genetic materials that have shown signs of tissue repair and improving skin cells. These exosomes can be harnessed to promote a more radiant youthful appearance.
